Welcome to St. Paul's!
St. Paul's acknowledges as its sole Head, Jesus Christ, son of God and savior. It looks to the Word of God in the scriptures, and to the presence and power of the Holy spirit, to prosper its creative and redemptive work in the world. It claims as its own the faith of the historic Church expressed in the ancient creeds and reclaimed in the basic insights of the Protestant Reformers. It affirms the responsibility of the church in each generation to make this faith its own in reality of worship, in honesty of thought and expression, and in purity of heart before God. In accordance with the teaching of our Lord and the practice prevailing among evangelical Christians, it recognizes two sacraments: baptism and the Lord's supper or Holy communion. (taken in part from the Preamble to the Constitution of the United Church of Christ.)
St. Paul's is a place for Christian renewal for individuals and families.
Here, you will find:
- dynamic worship where all may experience God in word, sacrament, and music by sharing with other Christians;
- every person is welcome and invited to meet Jesus Christ, no matter where they are on their spiritual journey
- spiritual resources to help individuals, couples, and families discover the power of faith that works in real life.
- opportunity to grow in prayer, Bible study, and service to community and world.
Introduction to the fellowship of believers who gather for worship as the Body of Christ:
"Just as the body is one and has many members, and all of the members of the body, though may, are one body so it is with Christ. For in the one Spirit we were baptized into one body . . . You are the body of Christ and individually members of it." (1 Cor 12)
